God Never Changes

From the Bible:

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever".

Ponder & Fiddle

When you squash these toys - no matter how hard you try, they will always come back to the same shape.

It can appear to change - because of what you do to it.

But their 'character' is always to be a cube.

God is Unchangeable

Sometimes things can distort how we see God - like squishing the cube can distort it's shape.

The things that distort how we see God could be:

• How we view him as Father, because our father on earth wasn't a good father.
• Maybe we see him only as a judging God constantly looking for what we've done wrong, because that is how we have been taught about Him.
• Maybe you see a God who rates you by your performance - doing enough of the right things to gain His love.
• Even our worries can quash how we think of God.

Squish the cube a few times and think about how you see God.

Let the cube keep coming back to it's natural cube shape.

Thankyou God that You never change.

You are always good, always fair, always loving and always kind.
Thankyou for the Bible, that it shows Your true nature, not the squashed version I sometimes see.

With the Holy Spirit's help, guide me to understand who you really are and how I should respond to You.
